Top selling crooner James Blunt is facing a court battle over royalties to his first album.

The posh singer became the first UK artist to hit the number one spot in
America in over a decade. Blunt is in dispute with producer and songwriter
Lucas Burton.

Burton claims that some of the tracks that shot the former army officer to
fame are his. The album in question, Back To Bedlam, sold 3.2 million copies
last year, so it's no wonder the disgruntled writer is keen to get a slice of
the action.

Burton is now rumoured to want his 'contribution' to be recognised financially and has posted some early versions of songs Blunt has released, on a website to bolster his case.
