A privately-owned radio station in Britain has banned British crooner James Blunt from its playlists. The ban comes after listeners complained of hearing Blunt’s two singles “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye my Lover” all the time.
Chris Cotton, the programme controller at Essex FM, said: “We don't have anything against James Blunt and we're pleased he has been so successful, but we really need a break." Blunt has been facing criticism for his music recently.
Last week, he stated that anyone not fond of hearing him sing can easily change to a different station. He was the first Briton to top the US single charts in 9 years when his single, “You’re Beautiful” was released there.
